Jun-27-2007 The Full Release of CSES Module 2 is now available for download. As of this release, ten new election studies have been added, bringing the total to 41. All election studies from CSES Module 2 now appear in the file. An erratum is available that discusses other changes as of this release.
Jun-26-2007 A new Researcher Contribution is available for download from the Data Center. The contribution was prepared by Matias Bargsted and is titled "Complementary Macro Level Data for CSES Modules 1 and 2". Included in the contribution are 43 variables on a wide range of topics not already covered by CSES macro data.

Oct-25-2005 The Data Center now includes a link to an tool for analyzing CSES Module 1 data online. We would like to thank ASEP and JD Systems in Madrid, who developed this service and are hosting it at no cost to the study.
Oct-24-2005 The Data Center now includes a list of Election Study Links for those that are interested in obtaining the full, original datasets (if available) for election studies that appear in CSES.
Oct-24-2005 The Data Center now includes an area where Researcher Contributions can be downloaded. Researcher Contributions are files specifically related to CSES which have been prepared by individual researchers and made available to the public. The first such contribution is the "CSES Module 1 and Module 2 Macro Booklet" (July 5, 2005 version) by Ana Espírito-Santo, Diogo Moreira, André Freire, Marina Costa Lobo, and Pedro Magalhães.
Oct-24-2005 The Results tables have been updated with data from the CSES Module 2 Advance Release of June 29, 2005.
Oct-24-2005 A preliminary list of CSES Module 3 Collaborators has been added to the Collaborators Page.
Sep-21-2005 Coverage maps have been added to the pages listing Module 1 Collaborators and Module 2 Collaborators. The list of Module 2 collaborators was updated in the process, and a list of countries likely to be included in future Module 2 releases was added. Last, links to the aforementioned lists are now also available from the main Collaborators page - previously they were only accessible from the Data Center.

Jun-29-2005 An updated version (the third) of the CSES Module 2 Advance Release is now available for download. This release contains ten additional election studies, among other improvements and additions.
Jun-28-2005 The online magazine Public Opinion Pros is planning a series of articles that make use of CSES data. The publisher has granted permission for the articles to be posted in the Bibliography and Results section of CSES website. The first article in the series is titled "Is the Party Over? Spreading Antipathy Toward Political Parties" and was written by Russell J. Dalton and Steven Weldon.
Jun-23-2005 The untranslated questionnaire for Spain 1996 is now available, and has been posted in the CSES Module 1 Election Study Archive located in the Data Center.

Nov-20-2002 Pippa Norris, from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, has requested feedback from the CSES user community on her forthcoming book, "Electoral Engineering: Voting Rules and Political Behavior." The book examines the role of electoral rules in shaping voting behavior and political representation, using analyses drawn from the CSES.
